Position Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Main Primary School Teacher to lead a class of 18 students in a Christian private school in West Asia. The successful candidate will teach in English, implement the national curriculum, and nurture a classroom environment grounded in Christian values. The ideal teacher will be committed to academic excellence, spiritual growth, and the holistic development of each child.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach core subjects (Literacy, Math, Science, Social Studies, etc.) in English, aligned with the national curriculum.
  • Develop engaging lesson plans tailored to the language level and learning needs of Russian-speaking students.
  • Foster a nurturing, Christ-centered classroom that encourages curiosity, character, and respect.
  • Assess student progress through formal and informal assessments and provide timely feedback.
  • Communicate effectively with parents about student development and classroom activities.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to plan school events, chapel services, and extracurricular activities.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
  • Uphold the school’s Christian values in teaching, discipline, and daily conduct.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education.
  • Teaching certification or equivalent (preferred).
  • Fluency in English (required); knowledge of Russian is a plus.
  • Experience teaching young learners, ideally in bilingual or English-immersion settings.
  • Familiarity with the Kyrgyz educational standards and curriculum (preferred but not required).
  • A personal commitment to Christian faith and values; experience in a Christian educational setting is highly valued.
