Our Setting & School

In our host country, students aren't safe in school. Their God-given dignity and academic potential are often stifled through verbal shaming, physical punishment, and failure to encourage critical thinking.

At *Walnut Hills, our passion is to create a safe, engaging learning environment for our entire student body, which is comprised of 40% local Muslim children, 60% expat / missionary kids. We are still small, with aproximately 110 students, and there are endless unique opportunities to invest deeply in their lives.

Your Role

As an Elementary math teacher, your presence and work could make an impact. Your role would include:

• Helping students (grades 1-6) build a strong foundation of math skills, using a curriculum that caters to each of their individual levels. You would prepare and organize the learning materials, but not be required to grade it.
• Opportunities to interact with and invest in students, teachers, and families from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• A planning period each day and four additional hours of prep time every Wednesday.
• Leading a small team of students for our monthly "team day" where the entire school works to learn honorable character traits, and competes in various challenges (think athletic competitions, lip sync battles, critical thinking puzzles...)
