Elementary Homeroom Teacher

Position Summary:

Dakar Academy seeks a qualified and dedicated Elementary Teacher to join our dynamic team of educators. The successful candidate will design and deliver creative, engaging, student-centered instruction aligned with a North American curriculum and integrated with a biblical worldview.

Objectives of this Role: 

• Provide high-quality instruction aligned with North American curriculum standards.
• Integrate a Christian worldview naturally and meaningfully into lessons and classroom life.
• Foster an engaging, respectful, and academically rigorous classroom environment.
• Support students’ spiritual and character development through mentorship and discipleship.
• Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and families to ensure student success.
• Design units and assessments using the Understanding by Design (UbD) framework.
• Engage in continuous professional growth and contribute to the broader school community.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related field.
• Valid teaching certification (state or national).
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written).

Preferred Qualifications

• ACSI Teacher Certification or willingness to obtain.
• Prior experience teaching in an international or cross-cultural setting.
