Elementary History/Geography Teacher

Help bring history alive for students, following a 5 year rotation that includes Ancient History, Middle Ages, 1800s, 1900-present, and Church History. 

Usually this is paired with Geography, either country studies or human geography.

Responsibilities:

• Help students learn the main people and events that shape how the world is today.
• Teach students to be historical thinkers, learning about cause and effect, bias, and perspective.
• Differentiate teaching style, information, and activities for different levels and abilities of students.
• teach students how to look at the world through geographical features.

Requirements:

• Enthusiasm and good understanding of history that you can communicate clearly to students
• Either certification, teaching experience, or cross-cultural experience preferred (culture shock + teaching can be a hard combination!)

This position can be combined with other available positions at the school if there is interest.
